Water Bath are used to heat up chemicals with low auto-ignition temperature which otherwise may catch fire without a need of external source. This is achieved by submerging the flasks in water and slowly increasing the water temperature using a controller. Submerged flasks are rotated in a circular motion to evenly increase temperature. iLabot precision water baths are general purpose units that are used in some daily laboratory use applications. These units come with temperature range from ambient+10°C to 100°C and feature digital temperature controller with high level of accuracy during test.


Our precision water baths are made for years of service life; therefore, we use only high grade stainless steel and imported components. iLabot's precision water bath units come in different capacities from 5 liters to 50 liters. The inner tank of these units is made of high grade stainless steel and outer cabinet is made of powder coated MS. For temperature control, we equip these units with imported PID controller. The lid is also made of stainless steel. Each water bath features small footprint and offer easy operation with almost no maintenance required. There is also water release valve at rear side of the unit. The heater is imported and of reputed brand in the market, which offers fast heating with low energy consumption. These are used for incubation of cell culture in water at a constant temperature. Another use of water bath is to induce specific chemical reactions at high temperatures. Steps to operate an precision water bath

1. Open the lid of the water bath container and ensure that it is clean.
2. Insert the stand.
3. Add sufficient level of water.
4. Insert the inner chamber.
5. Place the items to be tested.
6. Turn the power on and set the temperature using the digital meter.
7. Monitor change in temperature till desired levels have been achieved.
8. Turn-off power once the process is complete
9. Carefully remove the test items.

Types of General Purpose Precison Water Bath

iLabot Technologies manufactures 3 different types of precision water bath machines.

1. Double Walled Rectangular Water Bath – This is made for prevention of heat loss and are rectangualar in shape. The one offered by us have 6,9 or 12 holes for conducting multiple tests in on go.

2. Serological Water Baths – Smaller in size as compared to Double walled ones. Equipped with temperature controlled thermostat, these are ideal for small laboratories.

3. High Precision Water Baths – These are manufactured to facilitate uniform heating throughout. This is achieved by adding a stirrer on top of the Water Bath Machine.

Operating Principles of General Purpose Precison Water Bath

1. Shaking Water Baths – The most commonly used water bath machine is the shaking water bath. With a shaking feature, it constantly moves the liquid allowing air to mix with liquid-grown cell cultures.

2. Circulating Water Baths – These are used in multiple applications such as enzymatic and serological experiments. The primary function of this type of water bath is to circulate water to attain a contant water temperature in the machine.

3. Non-Circulating Water Baths – Water is heated through convection and maintaining uniform water temperature is an issue with these unless addition features like shakers or stirrers are added.
